Driver, Chip Ganassi Racing

Irish-born Jonathan Browne will enter his second INDY NXT by Firestone season with the new Chip Ganassi Racing INDY NXT program in 2025. Browne will attempt to build on his 2024 rookie campaign, which included eight top-10 finishes.

In 2022 and 2023, Browne raced in the USF Pro 2000 Championship, scoring six top-fives and two podiums. His eighth-place finish in 2023 marked his best championship result.

In 2019, Browne won the UK’s Formula Ford Festival, sweeping the weekend with a race win, pole and a fastest lap. He joined drivers Mark Webber, Jenson Button, Nick Tandy and more racing legends as winners at the event. He followed up the performance with a runner-up finish in 2020.

Browne began racing in karts at eight years old, racing across Ireland, Europe and the world, until his debut in Formula Ford in 2018.

He graduated with his degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Technological University of Dublin in 2022.

Browne is enjoys staying fit, and recently completed his first marathon. When not at the track, he enjoys watching Irish Rugby matches when he’s back home and supports Arsenal in soccer’s English Premier League.
